About

Rupture and Repair is a New Orleans-based learning community exploring ways to reconnect to ourselves, our histories, our land and communities to create sustainable economic, social, and spiritual transformation. First piloted within The Weavers Project, Rupture and Repair works to build a culture of organizing for white folks rooted in embodiment, feminist political education and transformative practice. Through our multi-week learning cohort, monthly drop-in space, coaching and consulting work, we seek to strengthen the analyses, practices, and tools of white people to be supported as they do the hard work of repairing generational harm. We seek to create spaces where participants feel and act as part of movements for collective social change.

Rupture and Repair 6-Week Learning Series

This six-week series for white people with wealth blends feminist political education, family history research, healing and embodiment work, 1:1 coaching, and leadership development. Participants will learn about how racial and gendered capitalism has shaped our world, our families, ourselves, our relationships and our relationships to giving and money. We will explore the ways that systemic injustice has both benefited and harmed us. We explore the ruptures of the past and present to create individual and collective roadmaps for sustainable repair. The program is oriented toward increasing participants' capacity to hold these truths and act more powerfully, consistently, and joyfully in alignment with our longing for racial, economic, and gender justice.

Our next series launches April 4th! Sign up by March 17th here.

Monthly Community Space

Alumni of the 6-week learning series will have the opportunity to meet on a monthly basis to a space of reconnection where tools, resources and practices are shared, challenges in organizing or giving practices are discussed, and community connections are deepened across cohorts. This is an ongoing, drop-in space with rotating facilitation.

Organizational Consulting and 1:1 Coaching

We provide support to organizations developing programs for donors both locally, nationally, and internationally. Our team also offers 1:1 coaching support for individual donors, from creating a giving plan to embodied leadership development. Please reach out to info@ruptureandrepair.org with inquiries.
